Quinceanera

In a Latino community in Los Angeles, Magdalena (Emily Rios) and her family are preparing for her 15th birthday celebration when she discovers that she is pregnant. Her father is a preacher who runs a church out of a storefront in the neighborhood, and he kicks her out of their home. After she moves in with a cousin and an uncle, their makeshift family finds that it may lose its home as the area gentrifies. How they survive becomes their rite of passage in a changing society. -- Will Coviello
