"$578,759.51" — The amount Gov. Bobby Jindal's presidential campaign raised in the second quarter of 2015, as reported to the Washington Examiner. It does not include the $8.6 million raised by Jindal's Super PAC and other groups.
Jindal formed an exploratory committee earlier this year, but did not formally announce his candidacy until June 24, which explains the low figure. Nevertheless, Politico reporter Jonathan Topaz noted Jindal's total "fell short of what several GOP candidates — including Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz — raised in their first 24 hours."
