Kyp Malone's influence on TV on the Radio's sound reached its apex with "Crying" and "Golden Age," two Malone compositions and the two best moments on the Brooklyn band's 2008 album Dear Science. The singer/songwriter's prodigious Afro and falsetto take center stage in Rain Machine, whose self-titled September debut (Anti-) crystallizes TVOTR's romantic, oblique socioeconomic critiques. Tickets $13.
