Saddle up to the silly stools at this River Road roadhouse, where mannequin legs stand in for conventional bar stools, and proudly dubbed “tacky ashtrays,” knickknacks and portraits blanket the bar. There’s live music Thursday through Saturday and plenty of drink specials, including $2 pints Wednesday night and two-for-one Stoli and Sailor Jerry on Thursday. Open daily. Smoking: no. Restaurant Details
House-smoked pork shank is braised and served atop rustic mashed potatoes drizzled with barbecue jus. Breaded veal cutlets lay on a bed of trottole pasta tossed with Absinthe, spinach and artichoke and are topped with flash-fried oysters. No reservations. Lunch and dinner daily, and late-night Fri.-Sat. Credit cards. $
