Rock N Roll Marathon
Registration is now closed for the inaugural Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras Marathon and 1/2 Marathon on Sunday, Feb. 28, (starting line at Tchoupitoulas and Race streets); but the two-day health and fitness expo at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (900 Convention Center Blvd.) is open and free to the public on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27.
The expo, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, includes more than 100 exhibitors who will display the latest in running and fitness fashions and equipment, as well as exhibits and interactive clinics, health and nutritional products and information, samples and more.
A concert after the Sunday race will feature Sister Hazel and Cowboy Mouth and is free to race participants, spectators and volunteers in City Park.
