Roux on Orleans 

Guy Sockrider had a short but impressive stint as executive chef at Muriel's Jackson Square in 2007 and 2008. Now, he's at the helm of Roux on Orleans (717 Orleans Ave., 523-2222; www.bourbonorleans.com) a new contemporary Louisiana-style restaurant opened in October in the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Most entrees at Roux are under $20, and the menu includes pecan-crusted drum with crabmeat relish and chicken Tchoupitoulas with green peppercorn sauce.
