Jefferson Parish Sheriff Harry Lee will be honored as the "headliner of the year" for the Press Club of New Orleans' 40th annual Gridiron Show on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Carlone's Dinner Theater.
That means the popular sheriff will be the butt of a number of skits written and/or acted out on stage by members of the media who chronicle his reign as the self-described "King of Jefferson Parish." This year's Gridiron theme is "Let's Make a Deal."
Proceeds from the evening of irreverent show benefit the Press Club's scholarship fund for metro area high school students and statewide college journalism students. The Patron party begins at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $75 per seat and up to $750 for a table of eight. For more information, call 523-1010.
