Receive a free tour of the historic Hermann-Grima house (820 St. Louis St., 525-5661) when you have lunch at Bayona (430 Dauphine St., 525-4455) Wednesday through Friday. The Hermann-Grima house was built in 1831 as a Federal-style residence for a wealthy Creole family and has a courtyard garden and the only horse stable and functional 1830s outdoor kitchen in the French Quarter. Guided tours are available at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Admission to the museum normally is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, college students and youth between 8 and 17. Children under 8 are admitted free.

Get some real bargains — and help urban wildlife — during an Earth Day Dollar Day Sale at Buffalo Exchange (3312 Magazine St., 891-7443; www.buffaloexchange.com) on Saturday, April 22. All proceeds from the store's Dollar Day sale benefit Wild Neighbors, the urban wildlife program of the HumanE Society of the United States, the largest animal protection agency in the country. Buffalo Exchange has raised more than $125,000 for environmental causes through dollar-day sales since 1997. The store also is collecting real or faux fur apparel through April 22 to be donated to the Humane Society for use as bedding for orphaned or injured wildlife. Condition of the fur isn't important since it won't be purchased by Buffalo Exchange or resold.

After 34 years in business, Gentlemen's Quarter (232 Royal St., 522-7139) is closing its doors, and most items in the store are 20 to 75 percent off, including women's apparel and accessories, sportswear, jeans and name brand clothing.

Oak Street Café (8140 Oak St., 866-8710) has added an extra incentive to its invitation to breakfast and lunch — live music by pianist Gene Taylor of the Fabulous Thunderbirds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. He will play selections of blues, rhythm & blues, local favorites and boogie-woogie. The menu includes hot donuts in the morning, a full breakfast menu served all day and blue-plate specials, po-boys and sides for lunch as well as a range of hot and cold tea, coffee and espresso.

Phillips 66 Fleur De Lis Car Care Center is reopening this week at 247 W. Harrison Ave. (453-7108) in Lakeview and will offer customers gasoline, mechanical service, tires and batteries. Stay tuned for information about a grand-opening celebration featuring pizza, Lucky Dogs and music.
