New Orleans Steamboat Company is offering a waterway tour of the Lower Ninth Ward aboard the riverboat John James Audubon, complete with easy-to-understand narrative and exhibits outlining the impact Hurricane Katrina has had not only on the Ninth Ward neighborhood but also the waterways. Tour passengers will see the Industrial Canal, its lock systems and bridges and its connection between the Mississippi River, Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet.
