The grill, which also can smoke meats, works great and looks cool with its stainless-steel vertical drum design.
Hemline, which used to provide fashion-forward outfits for women at its store in the 3000 block of Magazine Street, has moved to a new space at 3308 Magazine St. (269-4005). Shoppers can still expect the same stylish designs in apparel ranging from resort wear to evening dresses, shoes and jewelry.
New Orleans jewelry designer Mignon Faget (3801 Magazine St., 891-2005; 333 Canal St., The Shops at Canal Place, 524-2973; 3301 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Lakeside Shopping Center, Metairie, 835-2244; www.mignonfaget.com) has come out with something new — just in time for Father's Day. A redfish roller-ball writing pen that retails for $65.
Style Lab for Men (3641 Magazine St., 304 5072) has new messenger bags from J. Fold in the store, as well as a new shipment from Penguin that includes men's shirts, swimsuits and seersucker pants. Style Lab also is expanding to Baton Rouge, opening a new store at Towne Center (7425 Corporate Blvd.) June 23. That shop will have much of the same merchandise as the flagship store on Magazine Street, plus a few different lines like Fred Perry and some others geared toward the college crowd.
