The 2006 New Orleans Fall Garden Show will be held in City Park Oct. 21-22. The show will include exhibits throughout the botanical garden, sales of plant and garden products, a variety of educational speakers, live music and a special area for kids. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children ages 5-12. There is no charge for children under 5 and Friends of City Park members. The Fall Garden Show is sponsored by the LSU AgCenter in cooperation with the Metro Horticulture Foundation and the New Orleans Botanical Garden. For more information, call 838-1170.

With the opening of their first location on Oct. 15, the owners of the World's Healthiest Pizza (8127 Oleander St., 218-4865; want to "rebuild a Healthier New Orleans one slice at a time." With only two slices of a large pie, the owners say you can get 75 percent of your daily fiber needs, boost your calcium absorption by as much as 20 percent for strong bones, and stimulate your healthy bacteria for improved intestinal health. A specially formulated fiber-rich crust contains organic whole grains, and a pre-biotic fiber extracted from chicory roots is added to the sauce. Each pizza comes with nutritional information. The pick-up and delivery-only store is open daily from 4 p.m.-10 p.m.

On Oct. 20, stop by Hazelnut (5515 Magazine St., 891-2424) between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the "Beatriz Ball, Ball." There will be wine, cheese and a toast to honor New Orleans designer Beatriz Ball, who was one of four artisans recently nominated for the coveted International Gift Design award for her stylish handcrafted pewter-ware line.
