New Orleans will soon have a new place to shop for new and used records. On Saturday, Feb. 3, from noon to 8 p.m., Domino Sound Record Shack (2557 Bayou Road) will celebrate its grand opening with a party featuring deejays Soul Sister, Brice Nice and Dub Insurgent. Refreshments will be served.
The Bridge House Thrift Shops are celebrating their grand (re)opening with a 50 percent-off sale on clothes, furniture and household items in January and February. The store at 1160 Camp St. (522-4475 ext. 16) reopened late last year, and the second location on Jefferson Hwy. has just moved to 7901 Airline Hwy., Metairie, (837-2575) in the M.A. Green Shopping Center. Stop by to shop or make a donation. Established in 1957, Bridge House is a nonprofit, long-term intensive alcoholism and drug addiction treatment center.
