by Kara NelsonCC's Coffee has just launched its new CC's Coffee House Card program to give customers new benefits including faster service, points towards free coffee and a built-in opportunity to help raise money for a favorite school through the Community Cash for Schools program. Pick up a card, which will act as a prepaid credit card, at any CC's location and earn points with each use after you register it online (www.myccscard.com). Don't forget to select a school when registering because a percentage of every purchase will be directed to the Cash for Schools fund for that school.
The Mid-City Art Market will be held in Palmer Park (at the corner of Carrollton and Claiborne avenues) on Saturday, Feb. 24. Peruse paintings, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass, sculpture, textiles and accessories by local and regional artists. Food will be provided by Fuel coffee shop, Parkway Bakery & Tavern and Juan's Flying Burrito. Admission is free. (Rain Date: Sunday, Feb. 25.)
