This month, the Louisiana SPCA, partnering with the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter, announced redeployment of the Dorothy Dorsett Brown Mobile Spay/Neuter Center for pets of qualified residents in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and Plaquemines parishes. Petowners may spay/neuter their pets for $25 per cat and $50 per dog. The fee for feral cats is $10 each. The mobile unit will be parked at the Eastbank Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter three days a week. To schedule an appointment, call 368-5191, ext. 141.
