The Firestone store in Chalmette reopened this month, after suffering severe damage from Hurricane Katrina. Firestone Complete Auto Care (8615 W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette, 279-0417; www.firestonecompleteautocare.com) has been rebuilt at the same location as the original store, making it the first automotive retailer to open in the area since the 2005 storm.
