Waxing and brow design salon Better Brow (826-5574; www.betterbrow.com) is scheduled to move from its Mid-City location to a new spot in Uptown at 5601 Tchoupitoulas St. on Oct. 30, and will offer additional services including a full-service salon, makeup, massage therapy, hydrotherapy and custom brow design by brow guru Tanue Honoré.
Through Dec. 15, Dressbarn (8855 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie; 466-8107; www.dressbarn.com) will be selling Chloe, a plush toy dog, to benefit the American Cancer Society. Chloe will be sold for just $5, and Dressbarn will donate a minimum of $2.50 from each sale to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
