The Algiers Bonfire and Concert returns for the first time since Hurricane Katrina, giving holiday shoppers an incentive to patronize Algiers Point businesses, restaurants and bars. From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, merchants will offer food, beverages and music. At 5 p.m., the Algiers Bonfire Concert at the Cultural Village (200 Morgan St.) caps off the festivities, followed by the lighting ceremony on the Mississippi River at 8:15 p.m.
