The city's top brass bands come together at the Silence is Violence benefit for the Dinerral Shavers Education Fund. A drummer for the Hot 8 and band director at L.E. Rabouin High School, Shavers was killed in December 2006. The brass band lineup includes the Hot 8 (pictured), Rebirth, Soul Rebels, Free Agents, Shamarr Allen, the Stooges Music Group, TBC Brass Band, the Pinettes and others. Tickets $15.
