Sippin' in Seersucker
The Ogden Museum for Southern Art hosts its annual Sippin' in Seersucker fundraiser at Canal Place. Seersuckers are encouraged, either traditional or deconstructed, and there is a prize for best seersucker ensemble. For entertainment, Topsy Chapman sings her tribute to Dinah Washington and there are performances by Preservation Hall's Hot 4 Jazz Band and the New Orleans Bingo! Show. Refreshments include mint juleps and drinks compliments of Republic National Distributing Company and hors d'oeuvres by area restaurants, including 7 on Fulton, Café Adelaide & the Swizzle Stick Bar, Whole Foods, Zea Rotisserie and Grill, Michaul's Live Music Restaurant, NOLA Bean, Sendina's Bistro Italia and Sun Ray Grill.
