The fourth annual Southeast Louisiana Small Business Conference, a one-day event featuring workshops, a business expo and networking opportunities, will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the UNO Lindy Boggs International Conference Center on the Lakefront. The event is hosted by Good Work Network, a local business resource organization, and the Alliance for Economic Inclusion, an economic initiative created by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to stimulate community partnerships and local business enterprise.
The event attracts banking institutions, industry leaders, business owners and entrepreneurs from across the region who share strategies and provide entrepreneurs with ideas to grow their ventures in the current economic environment. Sessions are designed to provide practical solutions to everyday problems, and networking centers help connect local businesses to available opportunities and success strategies.
Online registration costs $35 and is open through Monday, Nov. 7, at www.aeiconference.org. On-site registration is $50. — DuBos
