Sharon McNight spent the '70s and '80s on top of the cabaret scene in San Francisco and earning a reputation for her far from PC shows, including
Songs to Offend Almost Everyone, which is also the name of one of her CDs. She does everything from the witty and rollicking jousts of Tom Lehrer to the drier satire of Randy Newman to her own just plain raunchy and irreverent songs. Her one-woman Sophie Tucker tribute won a Tony nomination for its Off Broadway run. McNight is in town singing with the cast of
Hats! at Harrah's. This special solo engagement will run for two nights at Le Chat Noir and the Monday performance is sponsored by the Mystic Krewe of Satyricon. Call 525-4498 for tickets to that show only. Tickets $38 Saturday (includes $5 bar credit), $25 Monday. --
