Stage Recommended

Desire Cabaret Photo by Hampton Van Meter This installment of ArtSpot Productions' State of the Nation performance series detours from its usual politically conscious offerings to a saucier theme: desire. The show, recommended for adults only, features burlesque from the Fleur de Tease troupe's racy comedienne Trixie Minx (pictured), sensual Latin rhythms from Fredy Omar, dance performance by Monique Moss, erotic spoken word and more. Kathy Randels, as her character Mama Nola, hosts along with the local actor Chris Lane. Tickets $10. " Alison Fensterstock 9 p.m. Sat., Feb. 23
