They say 'a stitch in time saves nine," but that's really just a rather mysterious metaphor.
Stitch is also the name of a group show at Antenna, but it's stitching with a twist, as we see in Kourtney Keller's
Getting to Know You Diorama (pictured), so don't expect any patchwork quilts. Curator Susan Giselson says: 'The pieces in this show tell stories with their materials: fabric, wood, wire, paper, tin, pomegranate skin, thread, knots and stitches. Their intimate nature is demonstrated through the measuring, cutting, tying and stitching of thread. The word "clue' is derived from the "clew' of thread that Theseus (in Greek mythology) used as a guide out of the labyrinth. In that story it led to the solution of a problem. Here it is a method of illustrating problems, situations, circumstance and wishes."
