More than a dozen energy companies are fighting over territory in north Louisiana's Haynesville Shale area and all of them are financially strapped. Below is a list of annual expenditures, taxes and direct employment from seven of those companies that were interviewed earlier this year by Baton Rouge economist Loren Scott. All figures are averages.
