Liz Williams, director of the Southern Food and Beverage Museum (Riverwalk Marketplace, 1 Poydras St., 569-0405; www.southernfood.org) discusses the food history of the French Market at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24. Restaurant Galvez (914 N. Peters St., 585-1400; www.galvezrestaurant.com) hosts the event in its dining room overlooking the Mississippi River and will serve from its regular Spanish menu during the talk.
