Tarzan of the Apes
Edgar Rice Burrough’s pulp novel hero Tarzan was an iconic figure who filled dozens of books, dozens more movies and was a precursor to all sorts of comic book heros. The original silent movie version of Tarzan of the Apes was filmed in Morgan City, La. nearly a century ago. A new Tarzan documentary and re-edited version of the film screen at Chalmette Movies and filmmaker Al Bohl will attend.
