Tax Filing by Rapper Joe Black

One More Thing

By Alison Fensterstock

Tax season is here, and if you'd like to file in style this year, try the services of rapper Joe Blakk. The MC behind the classic regional hit "It Ain't Where Ya From" runs a bona fide hip-hop income tax service (1683 N. Broad St., 324-4332), employing old-school bounce stars Cheeky Blakk and Dolemite. Rebirth Brass Band bass drummer Keith Frazier is the office manager. Blakk's hot tip this year: 2008 is the last year to amend your returns to take advantage of Hurricane Katrina-related tax benefits going back to 2005.
