The Big Easy Foundation has announced its nominations for 2013 special awards in the fields of classical music, opera, ballet and ethnic and contemporary dance performed in the New Orleans area during 2012.
The 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to musician and conductor Albinas Prizgintas, while Dr. Richard Strub and Ann Cox Strub will receive the 2013 Arts Patron Award. The Arts Education Award will be presented to KIDsmART.
Winners in the other categories will be announced at the 19th annual Tribute to the Classical Arts 2013 luncheon Monday, Jan. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter.
