The American Sector

The debut of the Solomon Victory Theater in the National World War II Museum's expansion marked the opening of a new restaurant from chef John Besh. The American Sector (945 Magazine St., 528-1940; www.american-sector.com) offers a menu of re-engineered 1940s-era Americana. Look for short rib sloppy Joes, house-made bologna and chow chow sandwiches, the kitchen's take on Twinkies and children's meals served in vintage lunchboxes.
