Award from PSLawNet, a network of law schools and legal service organizations
around the world. Maw, a British native, was cited for her work on pre-trial
capital cases, for establishing Tulane's Innocence Project New Orleans and the
Street Law program, and for establishing an annual textbook drive for Louisiana

Roger Reese,
chief
operating officer of the New Orleans school system, was asked to resign last
week as state and federal agents investigate misconduct among administrators
who obtained and approved contracts. Investigators say Reese failed to supervise
individuals under his authority who have been accused of improprieties, and
are checking into Reese's possible involvement. Reese had resigned under similar
circumstances from his old position in Baltimore.
