The Big Easy Awards recognize achievement in local music and theater from 2009. Celebrity presenters include John Goodman, Harry Shearer, Bryan Batt and Dr. John. Special honors go to Entertainer of the Year Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews (pictured), and Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Germaine Bazzle and Ron Gural. There are performances by nominated artists. Tickets $125.
