The Human Body and Vision/Revision

If December was photography month in New Orleans, what is January? For most of us, it's a new ballgame, but for photographers it might just be overtime. The Human Body show at the Darkroom, featuring work by more than two dozen artists including Jackie Brenner, Frances Billes and Josephine Sacabo (pictured), remains up through the month. Meanwhile, at the CAC, the even bigger Vision/Revision expo remains up until Jan. 14. Organized by New Orleans Photography Alliance, Don Marshall and UNO's Art Administration Program, it was open to photographers living in Louisiana prior to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. While not limited to any theme, subject or style, it does feature a whole lot of artists -- 87 to be exact.
