May 4

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion hasn't recorded since 2004's Damage sessions — the flailing blues/rock blasphemers' thought-to-be swan song — but it's still releasing new records. Last year, the band broke into its own vault, dispensing massive retrospective Dirty Shirt Rock 'n' Roll: The First Ten Years and a six-pack of expanded reissues. Tennessee thrasher JEFF the Brotherhood opens. Tickets $15. 10 p.m. Wednesday. One Eyed Jacks, 615 Toulouse St., 569-8361; www.oneeyedjacks.net
