The Last Exorcism
The landmark horror release The Exorcist (1973) spawned a slew of demonic possession films. The Last Exorcism won't be the last, but it is the only one filmed in St. Bernard Parish — shot in the shaky, claustrophic, "found footage" style of The Blair Witch Project. It's open at area cinemas, but if you plan to see it at the recently opened Chalmette Movies (8700 W. Judge Perez Drive), don't drive home alone.
