The Papaya Man

Romance can be fleeting, but what should one expect when it starts at a temporary employment agency? The Papaya Man is a new romantic comedy set in a temp agency on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Sonnet manages the agency's office and happens to meet Georges, who is opening a restaurant on the block. They try to get acquainted as office workers come and go and the agency owner keeps a watchful eye. The play is a new work by local author Phyllis M. Clemons, who also wrote The Bus Rider and Housewarming. Anthony Bean directs Marie Slade Witherspoon, Michael Martin, Escalante Lundy and others. Tickets $16 adults, $14 students/seniors. --Will Coviello
