In August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Piano Lesson, two siblings struggle with the legacy of slavery. Berniece possesses a piano that was once traded for two of her ancestors. Carved with their family history, she wants to keep it. Her brother Boy Willie wants to sell it to buy farmland, ridding them of the past. Anthony Bean directs Brittney James, Stephon L. Guidry and others. Tickets $18 general admission, $16 students/seniors.
