Vitals.com, a website that provides information about more than 720,000 physicians nationwide and allows patients to submit reviews of doctors, recently released a list of the top 10 patient-rated diabetes specialists in Louisiana. They are Drs. Rajat Bhushan, Alan Bowers, Karen Dantin, Justin Fontenot, Jolene Johnson, Laura Kimball-Ravari, Hanna Lubbos, Victor Pouw, Ghyass Rizk and Alan Yager. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Louisiana has one of the nation's highest diabetes rates, with 9 percent of adults diagnosed with the disease.
