McNeely painted the dining room with Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter and furnished it sparingly. The round table is paired with chairs covered with a Fortuny fabric. an 1801 portrait of McNeely's great-great-grandmother from New Orleans hangs on the wall. The antique chandelier is French.

Located just inside the front door, the living room feels like an airy foyer. McNeely anchored the space with a Belgian linen sofa, a pair of Gustav chairs and a marble-top coffee table by Lillian August. McNeely created the window treatment using raw-edged denim panels draped over iron rods. An unusually tall pine sideboard, a pair of obelisk-like architectural pieces and a narrow, Swedish-style painted armoire add height, patina and depth. The figural sculptures on the coffee table are by Suzanne Longo and the abstract canvas is by Bernard Mattox.
