Among the many revelations of Tia Lessin and Carl Deal's Oscar-nominated documentary is an uncut, impromptu bedroom performance by the film's subject and star, Kimberly Rivers Roberts (aka Black Kold Madina). The rapper's cold-cocking straight talk is the narrative engine of the Hurricane Katrina survival story, and she performs a live set at this screening. Tickets $15 general admission, $40 VIP (includes open bar).
