Vieux To Do: Three Festivals in One

The Vieux to Do festival trio — combining the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival, the Louisiana Seafood Festival and the Creole Tomato Festival — draws New Orleanians downtown for two days of New Orleans food and Acadian music. This year's lineup includes BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Rosie Ledet (pictured) with the Zydeco Playboys, Amanda Shaw and the Pine Leaf Boys. Food booths will offer everything from sno-balls to po-boys, and festivalgoers can also sample seafood and Creole tomato dishes prepared by chefs from New Orleans restaurants including Dickie Brennan's Steak House, Bacco, Cafe Degas, Vega Tapas Cafe, Andrea's and Praline Connection. Music stages and cooking demonstration areas are spaced around the French Market and Dutch Alley. Free admission. — Jessica Williams
