Benchmark conducts clinical research trials of investigational medicines. Medical doctors, in conjunction with an experienced research staff, conduct all of the studies, and paid volunteers who participate in the trials receive study-related medication, lab work and other associated care at no cost. Because some of the studies involve volunteers who have a particular illness, the volunteer may benefit from new medicines. Benchmark staff will explain to expo attendees how research trials help expand the future of medicine and will conduct drawings for gift cards and other small gifts.

EJGH will be well represented at the expo with staff from its Wellness Center, a 38,000-square-foot modern fitness facility that caters to the body with cardio equipment, swimming pools, exercise physiologists and personal trainers. It also nurtures the mind with a serenity garden, relaxing whirlpool and a lounge. The newest addition to the hospital's team, the Fitness Principle, a nutrition, fitness and disease management and lifestyle program, is under the leadership of renowned fitness expert Mackie Shilstone. EJGH also will have staff members from its sleep lab and its food and nutrition department who can answer expo attendees' questions, provide information and conduct health screenings.
