Wine of the Week

This Pinot Grigio is so lightly colored -- barely a yellow tint -- you could read through it. Something clean and witty maybe, like a Peanuts comic, or short and fruity like the personals. Surprisingly substantial, this wine coats the tongue evenly with a carpet of violet and grass, green apple and rain, disappearing with a slight lemony tingle. Salmon and raw oysters are natural pairings. Found at Hugh's Wine Cellar, Martin Wine Cellar and Prytania Liquors. -- Roahen
