Wine of the Week 

A shimmering, golden halo and a potpourri of citrus and Asian pears characterize this Chardonnay from California's Russian River Valley. If it were a cookie, it would be a spritz made with plenty of butter and a pinch of grated lemon zest. Seafood stews and chowders will flatter this wine, although sitting around a bowl of nuts and passing the bottle with a nutcracker might be a more festive way to taste it for yourself. Found at Dorignac's, Langenstein's and Cellars of River Ridge. -- Roahen
