For more than 100 years, Leasingham vineyards in South Australia's Clare Valley has been producing high quality estate-grown fruit for wines that perfectly capture the area's regional character. Aged 18 months in predominantly American oak blended with 10 percent French oak, the wine's bouquet offers dark plum and deep berry fruit with spice notes and hints of chocolate and vanilla followed by rich, concentrated flavors of ripe plum, white pepper, mocha and coffee. An elegant style with cellaring potential. Good with hearty meat dishes like stews and Chateaubriand. Available at Cork & Bottle, Whole Foods Market (Uptown location), Sidney's Wine Cellar, Dorignac's, Antonio's Wine Cellar in Gretna, and Louisiana Star and Acquistapace's Supermarket in Covington.
