This lively little white wine from the Peloponnesian Peninsula in southern Greece promises to help you forget all those lingering memories of your first taste of Retsina. Considered a breakthrough in the U.S. market, this enticing wine is made from 100 percent Moschofilero (mo-sko-FEEL-ero) grapes sourced from 15- to 35-year-old vines grown at high elevations in the Mantinia region. Crisp and refreshing, the wine exhibits floral and citrus aromas with flavors of orange blossom, grapefruit, melon and a hint of mineralilty. Serve well chilled. Good as an aperitif or with proscuitto-wrapped melon, grilled fish, shrimp, salsas, ceviche and spicy Asian and Cajun dishes. Where to buy it: Cork & Bottle, Sip Wine, Whole Foods Market, Cost Plus World Markets. Where to drink it: La Louisiane Bar & Bistro, Acropolis Cuisine and Mr. Gyro's.
