From Priorat, one of SpainÕs most exciting wine regions, Rotllan Torra combines new age winemaking techniques with fruit from ancient hillside vineyards to produce this remarkable release. A blend of 50 percent Garnacha and 25 percent each Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan, the wine spent 24 months aging in oak. Deeply colored, the wine exhibits intense aromas of blackberries, a stony mineralilty and hints of licorice and leather followed by ripe currant, cassis and black cherry flavors with an earthy character. ItÕs richly textured and full-bodied with power to spare. Decant for a fuller appreciation or cellar up to 10-12 years. Good with cassoulet, grilled lamb and other red meat.
