Wine of the Week 

Gruner Veltliner ranks as one of AustriaÕs two top varietals, alongside the noble Riesling. The Moser family, now in their fifth and sixth generations of winemaking, produces this lively wine with grapes sourced from the countryÕs Kremstal region. Fresh and zesty, the wine shows both wonderful finesse and a full-bodied ripeness. Concentrated aromas of apple, peach and a hint of white pepper yield to a spicy, citrusy fruitiness on the palate with racy acidity and a touch of minerality that reveals its vineyard roots. A harmonious wine that pairs well with a variety of foods including sushi, soups, salads, pasta, schnitzel and sausages. Delightful in its youth, good Gruners age well and will continue to mature over the next 5 to 15 years.
