Wine of the Week 

Grapes for this wine were slowly ripened in the shadows of the Andes mountains in Argentina's most prestigious growing area. A more affordable and approachable alternative to many Cabernets, the wine was made from 100 percent Malbec grapes and aged four to six months in French oak. In the glass, the wine delivers aromas of ripe fruits with leathery, earthy notes and a palate of concentrated dark berry, cassis and plum flavors with spice and vanilla nuances. Additional attributes for this medium-bodied wine include soft, even tannins, balanced acidity, a firm texture and an excellent structure. This very food-friendly wine goes well with roast duck, venison and rare grilled steak. Where to buy it: Swirl Wine Market and Dorignac's. Where to drink it: Dick and Jenny's and Delachaise.
