Wine of the Week 

A great find, this full-bodied wine from importer Jorge Ordonez tastes much more expensive than its price tag indicates, managing to exude velvety rich fruit and haunting depth in every sip. Sourced from 80- to 120-year-old vines, the wine is made from 100 percent Garnacha (Grenache) grown on hillside vineyards at an altitude of 3,000 feet. One swirl reveals ripe berry fruit aromas with a hint of alcohol leading into a cascade of juicy blackberry fruit flavors with chocolate and spice notes, soft tannins, an exceptional mouthfeel and lengthy finish. Good with duck, venison, roast pork, paella and braised lamb shanks.
