Wine of the Week

The grapes of Erath (with apologies to John Steinbeck) for this bottling were sourced from estate-grown fruit from Dundee Hills vineyards in northern Willamette Valley in the heart of Oregon's Pinot Noir country. A food friendly, fruit-forward style with just a touch of new oak, the wine beckons with inviting, ripe berry aromas. On the palate, vibrant flavors of cherry and raspberry intermingle with hints of vanilla and spice. A beautifully structured wine with bright acidity, it complements everything from seafood and fowl to game, beef and pork. Where to buy it: Dorignac's, Hugh's Wine Cellar in Mandeville, Louisiana Star in Covington and The Wine Market in Slidell. Where to drink it: GW Fins, Vizard's, Marigny Brasserie, The Ritz-Carlton, The Country Club, Camelot Lounge, JW Marriott and Marriott New Orleans hotels and L'Etoile in Covington. (Listings current at press time.)
